Each year we are excited to kick-off our spring season with a Mayfest celebration in Shipshewana. Locals and visitors alike join in for some good ole’ fashioned hometown fun! Downtown will be bustling with activities like band & choir concerts, kid’s activities, live entertainment, softball tournaments, food trucks, benefit breakfast and much more! The Grand Mayfest parade on Saturday morning will kick things off for the day.
Some of the food vendors for 2024 include: JBONZ, Hilty’s Backwood Wings, Kings BBQ, Five Star Frappe, Kukui’s, Otto’s Elephant Ears, Shipshewana Lake Assoc., Marion Christian Fellowship, Jo’s Vintage Coffee, Secret Recipe, Nelson’s, Smothered & Covered Fries, El Burro Loco, Randy Mullett Popcorn and S & R Concessions.
Friday morning entertainment includes Jim Barron and the Westview Band & Choir. Acoustic Harmony and Lonesome Road Bluegrass will perform in the evening beginning at 5:45 pm.
Saturday begins with a pancake & sausage breakfast and bake sale at 7:00 am. A kid’s fun run and 5K run will begin at 8:00 am with the parade at 10:00 am.
There will be a variety of activities throughout the day on Saturday, including a K-9 demo at 1:00 pm at the Town Park. The evening ends with Lonesome Road Bluegrass playing from 7:00-8:00 pm

Weekly Event: Join us every Friday evening May 31-Sept 27 from 4:30-7:30 in the Walnut Grove of the beautiful Morrow’s Meadow Park for our Outdoor Farm & Artisan Market where you’ll find over 50 local farm, food, and artisan vendors, along with live music and a featured food truck. We proudly accept SNAP and are able to double the SNAP dollars given thanks to a grant from Double Up Indiana. We also give all children who attend the market a $2 token to buy produce at the market thanks to Thrive Credit Union, IU Health Riley Pediatrician Dr. Kirk Perry, and the Master Gardeners of Delaware County Purdue Extension.
